We are helping Zane Zabriskie with his Eagle Scout Project. He is taking pictures of all the stones and submitting them to Gen Web Tombstone Project. His older brother, Sebastian, started this project a few years back. My roll is to enter the data on a form and send it to UTGENWEB ARCHIVES. Wonderful project and a great opportunity for us all to benefit and use the pictures here on the blog.

The following are from the Page Family. There are no Page families currently living in Mt. Pleasant that I know of. These seem all to be children. It makes me sad as I wonder about their living situation. as they were born in the late 1800s and lived only a short while.

Peter and I took our four wheeler out to the cemetery and took a few pictures in the north east quadrant of the old cemetery. The photo above is Annie Somebody. She was only a baby when she died. Her headstone is badly deteriorating. Many of the headstones are deteriorating. Some have so much calcium buildup that they are hard to read. Hopefully, someone will find one of their ancestors here.

The first half of this slide show is taken from Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. The second half beginning with S.N.B. Pritchett is taken from the Fairview Cemeteries; Pioneer Cemetery as well as the upper cemetery. Most of the Fairview shots are of my relative's headstones. The Givins Family are not related but is the family that were murdered near Indianola by the Indians.

We went out to the cemetery today to checkout some of the dates for our Nielsen kin. Decided to take some photos while there of Nielsen, Rasmussen, Woodring, Parr and Thalman.

Waldemar and Dehlin Tombstones

The Waldemar Marker is obviously a newer headstone to replace an original older one. The pine tree that it sits under must have been planted between their graves, as it sits right on top of the graves themselves and is a very tall, old tree.

The Waldemars were parents to Elna Waldemar Dehlin,

whose gravemarker is the one to the right and also marks

the grave of her husband Paul.
